The interactive installation Marble Maze is an entertaining and fast-paced game that is played together on a large video wall with mounted game controllers. This brings digital content together with analog technology and invites experimentation in its own unique way. (DCP winner 2024: Best Innovation and Technology) Marble Maze promotes communication between players through its unique game design. Teamwork is particularly important, as interactions with a wide variety of game controllers are required. Whether in the middle of a game or starting together, whether already playing or just joining in: Marble Maze is best played with three players. A round (approx. 5-10 min) can also be played alone or in pairs. People of different ages can easily play Marble Maze together. In addition, the homemade game controllers are self-explanatory through simple trial and error—the most natural form of play—and thus increase the fun factor: Who will achieve the best high score?
